My name is Lukas Valdman and I am a Ph.D. student at the Sofer group. My background is in materials’ physics. Specifically, my experience lies in vacuum technology, diffraction and magnetism. I obtained my master’s degree in the USA in materials science and engineering. My thesis deals with construction of MOKE (Magneto Optical Kerr Effect) microscopes used for magnetic studies of 2D materials. In the group, I hope to broaden my knowledge in the synthesis and characterization of emerging materials for electronics and optoelectronics applications.
