Joyce B. Matsoso is currently research fellow (CHEMFells IV) at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. The project is in collaboration with LMI in France and focuses on the application of 2D materials as supercapacitors in flexible electronics. Prior to this (2018-2019), she was postdoctoral fellow (Graphene flagship) at Laboratoire des Multimatériaux et Interfaces (LMI UMR 5615 CNRS, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France). She was working on the synthesis and characterisation of large of area hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) nanomaterials using PDC and/or CVD techniques. Her PhD in Chemistry (Catalysis) from University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa, 2017) was funded by Johnson Matthey Ltd (Pty) for the synthesis of pristine and B/N co-doped graphene films for application as Pt/Pd catalyst supports and in electrochemical sensing of dopamine and uric acid.
