Jalal Azadmanjiri received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia (2012) followed by a postdoctoral research fellowship at Swinburne University of Technology in the same city, Melbourne, Australia. Recently he succeeded to get Chemfells IV fellowship to work on 2D nanomaterials, their synthesis, characterization, and applications with Prof. Zdeněk Sofer. His research interests include nanomaterials and nanotechnology, focusing on the design, synthesis, functionalization, and characterization of nanomaterials in 0D, 1D, and 2D structures. He is also interested in the development of hybrid materials with layered nanostructures for energy storage, energy conversion, and biomedical applications, and the study of their surfaces and interfaces.
