Amutha Subramani, Ph.D. (CHEMFELLS V stipend)
Amutha Subramani has carried out her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E,) in Electrical and Electronics at Anna University, Chennai (2006-2010) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Nanoelectronics at SASTRA University, Thanjavur (2010-2012). After her studies, she was selected to work as a Junior Research Fellow at SRM Research Institute got enrolled in Ph.D. program in the at SRM Research Institute, SRMIST (India) in the field of Nanotechnology(2013-2020). In 2013, she was working under the JRF program of a special research project pertaining to the analysis of single-molecule-magnet based nanodevices, sponsored by the prestigious Nano Mission under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. During the tenure, she was involved in the theoretical study of charge transport in graphene nanodot and metal string molecular junction using VASP, Atomistic simulation package. She got expertise in modeling transistor using semiconductor module from COMSOL. In her postdoctoral position at GTIIT, China (2021-2022), she have studied on the high harmonic generation in solids. She is currently working under CHEMFELLS V stipend in the Sofer group at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. Broadly, her research interests are oriented towards the understanding of spin, magnetic, and charge properties of atoms, molecules, and complexes for the development of next-generation nanoelectronic devices, in particular photovoltaics and memory-storage devices.
