Shuangying Wei is a postdoctoral researcher at the Sofer group since March 2021. Her research lies in two-dimensional nanomaterials for electronic applications, especially in various batteries and supercapacitors. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical science from the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Ferrara, Italy in 2021 and her M.Sc. from National Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Key Materials of New Energy Storage Battery, Xiangtan University, China in 2017. During her Ph.D, her research interests focused on lithium batteries science and technology, in particular on material synthesis (conversion metal oxide anodes and high voltage spinel cathodes), electrolyte design (glyme-based solutions), and lithium-ion full cell study by combining metal oxide anodes and various cathodes such as olivine, layered oxide, and spinel oxide.
