Bhupender Pal, Ph.D. (CHEMFELLS IV stipend)
Bhupender Pal received his Ph.D. from Thapar University, Patiala, India in 2015. During his Ph.D his research focus was on the effect of size and shape of nanoparticles, silica coating and laser irradiation on thermal conductivity of some metal oxide (TiO 2 , CuO etc.) based nanofluids. After his Ph.D. (2015-2016), he worked as an assistant professor at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, India, where he taught physical chemistry to masters and undergraduate students. After that in 2017-2020, he joined as a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Rajan Jose group at Universiti of Malaysia, Pahang, Malaysia, where he worked on synthesis, characterization and application of metal oxide composite (TiO 2 /SnO 2 , SnO 2 /Co 3 O 4 @C etc.) and carbon based materials for energy storage (supercapacitors) and conversion. Currently (February 2021), he joined Sofer group as a postdoctoral fellow under Chemfells IV stipend. His current research interest includes preparation of renewable, earth abundant, environmental friendly, low cost (cellulose and carbon type) materials by green fabrication methods for energy storage (ultralight and flexible supercapacitor) in wearable and portable electronic devices.
